ACA Service Opportunities Currently Available!
Our’s is a small site and has only a few updates and changes every month or so. The average time it takes to make a change is less than a half hour. Updates include adding/removing/updating meeting info, occasional area events, and notices. The site is managed in easy to use WordPress format. For more info, contact Jim B jim.b.12.25.76@gmail.com. Very part time Editor wanted: approximately 1 hour a month. Review changes to the web site and suggest edits. Very little changes, on a month-to-month basis, but we could benefit from another set of eyes to verify content changes. Work at whatever pace you have available.
As we continue to grow in our ACA area, we’ll want volunteers with WordPress web page development skills, Web site planner/s, Link checker/s, Content provider/s, Content feedback, and Site Design Editor/s. Snack providers are welcome, too… Remember, though, this will likely continue to be a fairly static site with one or 2 meeting updates a month and one or 2 annual events to add as they come up. Easy does it is our slogan.
An extra set of eyes, keyboards, and minds can make this a more wonderful site to serve the entire Southeast Texas ACA community. If you want to help in whatever way you are called to do, please go to the Contact Us Page and check in with us.
The site is put together in WordPress which keeps it simple. Your eyes might be able to spot typo’s or typesetting errors to help us fine tune our presence. Or, you may be more of a pro web developer who wants to help out, to give back in service to our recovery community. Or, if you’re like me, you’re willing to learn and just want to lend a helping hand.
